SwitchMate stores keyboard prediction learning, switch settings, and Game Maker favorites in your browser. Our usage tracker does not send your typed messages, predictions, switch timing settings, or feedback text to Google Analytics. Speech output uses your device or browser's speech service; its handling of speech depends on the service and voice you select.
We use Google Analytics across the library, guide, tools, and games to compare activity popularity and engagement. Statistics are enabled by default unless you turn them off. Google Analytics uses cookies and browser identifiers to estimate users, sessions, page views, time with a page in focus, device/browser information, and approximate geographic location. These are not counts of identified people, and we do not describe this data as fully anonymous.
To turn statistics off: open Set up your switch on the library, or open the switch menu in an activity, and set Usage statistics to off. This stops further reporting from that page and applies to other open tabs on the same site. The choice is saved in that browser. Repeat it on other devices or after clearing site data. Turning statistics off does not delete reports already collected or existing cookies; your browser's site-data controls can remove cookies.
You can send feedback without signing in. Your message and submission timestamp are stored in Google Firebase so we can read them. Include contact details only if you want a reply, and avoid sensitive personal information. Feedback is not sent to Google Analytics.
The public Google sign-in has been removed. Earlier versions could store account details with feedback and usage events. The new tracker replaces the Firebase page-view and Game Maker event feeds; it does not erase older records.
Parents, teachers, and caregivers can disable statistics on a shared device using the control above. Feedback is intended for adults. Please do not submit children's names or sensitive information in feedback messages.
Google Analytics processes usage statistics, and Google Firebase stores feedback and older records. See Google's privacy policy. Voluntary payments are processed by Stripe; SwitchMate does not receive your card details.
For deletion of feedback or older account-linked data, contact support@bestpolity.com with enough information to locate the record. Current analytics does not include your name or email, so those details alone cannot identify your analytics records. Clear your browser's site data to remove local settings, learned predictions, and cookies. This also resets your statistics preference.
